Blood buddies

I have had many friends over the years:

  • Primary school
  • High school
  • College
  • Grad school – Masters
  • Grad school – Ph. D
  • Dance class
  • Drama school etc. etc

At every stage, I have had the greatest times with friends. We have shared a lot: studies, singing, dancing, stage shows, excitement, disappointment, successes, failures, heartbreaks, loneliness – so on and on and on.

But today was the rare day that I shared an  illness with a dear friend of mine.

SRK and I have had similar symptoms over the last couple days and we went to the clinic for checkup. Turns out not only we may have the same infection, the lab at the clinic could not draw blood from either of us.

So, we found ourselves making the strange  5 mile journey to the hospital to get our blood drawn from more experienced (supposedly) lab technicians.

That is how we went from being close friends to blood buddies.

Here’s to us, SRK, let us both get well very soon and get on with our work.

Good luck to us. Crossing fingers!

  1. Hmmm… what infection is that? How are you doing? I think its a mass sickness syndrome! Get well soon 🙂

  2. Sneha,

Thanks. Turns out we are clean. The symptoms were there, but no infection. Still a little weak though.

    G,

Thanks kano. We are doing fine now, for the most part.
